# Acoustic Sculpture

## Intent

Acoustic Sculpture presents an imagined sound-art workshop through one intelligible instrument and a practical spatial brief. The visitor is choosing the feeling of a room, rather than shopping for an unverified technical product. The fictional Aurivane demonstrates how a gallery, a courtyard or a reading room can suggest different acoustic characters. Every enquiry remains local text. Nothing is sent and no measured acoustic performance is promised. Material and sound are explicitly artistic interpretations.

## Signature

Preserve five relationships: seven upright plates with a shared base; controlled side lighting that reveals their thickness; a narrow invitation beside a much larger object; three named characters that change actual spacing; and ordinary HTML controls that connect the sculpture to a useful enquiry. The number and arrangement of plates provide recognition even when brand colors change. Copper is a material cue, not a reason to turn every heading, button and paragraph into metallic decoration.

## Typography

Use a generous humanist sans display with open counters and deliberately short lines. Trebuchet MS falls back to Arial and sans-serif; Georgia with a serif fallback carries the quieter narrative. Captions use compact measured language, never tiny essential instructions. The display wraps by word rather than clipping a fixed poster. Lithuanian letters remain live text, including ĄČĘĖĮŠŲŪŽ and their lowercase forms. No font files or remote font requests are needed.

## Color and surfaces

Warm ivory is the main field, oxidized copper is the active material and deep blue anchors text and navigation. All interface colors consume the generated semantic tokens. The shader reads the same palette rather than hiding a parallel interface theme in JavaScript. Shading belongs inside the instrument; labels stay flat and legible. Borders divide workshop regions without turning every passage into a card. Selected buttons use copper with a high-contrast light label.

## Layout A

A begins with a visible brand and three literal navigation destinations. The first stage places a narrow, large invitation beside a broad instrument study. The sculpture remains available while the adjacent spatial stories enter view, then three displaced plates echo the three scenario markers. A measured process follows before the enquiry form. This is a paced invitation from an expressive object into a specific room choice, not a feature grid or a fictional customer testimonial sequence.

## Layout B

B opens directly as a sound-character workshop. Scenario selection, a broad instrument and character controls occupy three different functional regions. A comparison tray saves up to two actual configurations and names their differences; it is not a decorative table of invented measurements. A compact process note and the same honest enquiry close the page. The visitor starts by experimenting and comparing, whereas A starts by reading an object-led spatial story.

## Imagery

The seven plates are procedural extruded meshes, with real depth testing and a directional Lambert-like material response. Their heights, thicknesses and shared grounded baseline create a concrete object instead of an anonymous rotating blob. A static original SVG retains the seven-part silhouette when WebGL is unavailable. Nearby text explains that this is an artistic model. There are no borrowed renders, recordings, logos, stock textures, models or unlicensed photographs to redistribute.

## Navigation and interaction

Keep scenario choices, three character buttons and the enquiry route visible with meaningful labels. A button changes state and exposes its pressed state; a link navigates. Selecting a spatial scenario updates the form summary. Selecting Ramu, Gyva or Sodru changes spacing, description and the optional synthesized tone. Comparison snapshots preserve their original configuration even if the current controls change. Form validation checks real required fields, and the output is selectable text with a clipboard fallback.

## Motion

On entry the plates settle from small offsets over 1.2 seconds and stop. The light stays fixed and does not follow the pointer. The scenario transition separates three plates and then settles, while character changes interpolate the spacing. Pause controls cancel active RAF work. Reduced motion draws the informative final state immediately. Sound starts only after a deliberate click, with real suspension and zero-gain mute. Offscreen or hidden scenes suspend work and sound without unsolicited audio restart.

## Responsive behavior

At 1440 pixels A gives the instrument most of the first-stage width and lets a narrow narrative establish scale. B uses side controls around a central study. At 768 pixels those controls move into balanced rows. At 390 and 360 pixels the object appears above the invitation in A and before the workshop controls in B. All seven plates stay inside the viewport; labels and form fields wrap normally. Do not shrink the entire desktop composition into a miniature.

## Accessibility

Use one descriptive h1, a main landmark, a skip link and logical section headings. Canvas has a clear accessible label and the same essential object information is available in HTML and SVG. Every scenario, sound control and comparison action works from the keyboard. Focus is visible against both page surfaces. Live status explains copy, validation and unavailable APIs without pretending success. The task evidence records actual contrast, keyboard, overflow and API tests; this is bounded validation rather than certification.

## Adaptation

A hospitality, exhibition or craft brief can replace the fictional workshop while retaining seven coherent parts and a purposeful spatial choice. Replace scenario names and approved descriptions before inventing more controls. Keep brand colors compatible with readable UI contrast and treat material color separately from essential text. A different platform may render the same procedural geometry in its own component, but should preserve final reduced-motion states and ordinary HTML controls. The full creation brief supplies explicit project fields.

## Avoid

Exactly three deviations damage this direction: replacing the seven grounded plates with a spinning generic sphere; disguising simulated sound characters as measured engineering performance; and shrinking the three-region workshop into a row of indistinguishable rounded cards. These are structural or honesty failures, rather than preferences about a particular accent color. A brand adaptation must still explain what changes when the visitor selects a character and what the resulting enquiry actually contains.

## Closest styles

Soft Spatial is an actual ready neighbor, but its soft static clay volume and layered service explanation differ from this seven-part thin metal instrument, explicit character workbench and interactive sound/enquiry rhythm. Y2K Chrome is also ready: its oversized pop-poster typography, shiny orbit imagery and edition index differ from the humanist/serif relationship, matte directional copper and room-based selection. Compare composition, material and navigation in the same viewport; a shared dimensional theme does not make them equivalent.
