TWO FRAMES / ONE SHARED FEELING

Mist
and still water.

Notes on a forest in mist and a lake at sunset.

INTO THE MIST

Mist hides
the far trees.

At first the trees seem to end where the mist begins. Look again and another layer appears.

Some places ask for a wider view. Others ask us to stay with what we can just barely see.

THE LAST LIGHT

The lake doubles
the sky.

The water carries a second sky. A narrow line of shore gives each half its measure. Then a small movement changes the whole picture.

This is a pairing of photographs from different locations, not a record of one continuous journey.
