Sound art workshop

Seven
copper
plates.

A wind instrument that hangs in a row and rings as the air moves.

We design sound pieces for galleries, courtyards and reading rooms.

Preparing the object scene.

Three spaces / three beginnings

01

Gallery

One plate beside each work.

The plates are spread through the rooms, one sound at each stop.

02

Courtyard

Sound has room to travel.

An open space takes in light and movement. You can choose a livelier, wider rhythm for the instrument.

03

Reading room

A small piece beside the desks.

A short row of plates near the reading tables. This is not an acoustic measurement.

Feel the difference

How much room
should sound have?

Your choice changes the instrument's spacing and the sound sketch. Pick one of three characters.

Calm: smaller gaps, a longer pause, a restrained tone.

Optional sound sketch

Sound is off. Turn it on only if you want to.

From question to object

We start with the space.

  1. We listen

We define what happens there and what feeling you are after. One clear situation is enough.

  2. We test

We compare the layout and the artistic sound character. A digital sketch is no substitute for an acoustic survey.

  3. We lay it out

We prepare questions for a real conversation about material, place and the scale of the work.
